- The USGenWeb Project has two competing volunteer census projects...don't ask why! If the two groups could put politics aside, we would have more resources being devoted to creating free censuses information online for the benefit of reasearchers...as it is, effort is being duplicated. If your ancestor was eligible for SS benefits and died before 1962- - - you will not find him/her here.
